- Are we allowed to do part time job?
All international students are allowed to do part time job along with their studies from day one. As per the rule, all students can work for 20 hrs/week during their term period and full time (40 hrs/week during vacations).This can offset the living costs of the students.
Admissions will not be guaranteed by us. But if your qualifications are suited for the course you are applying for, we do not forsee you having a problem in getting an admission. Guidance for course selection according to personal want and eligibility will be given to you by our experienced counselors in the office.
- How long will it take to get a response from the university?
Most universities take 10 working days to decide upon whether they can give a conditional / unconditional offer. As soon as we are intimated, the student is given the feedback promptly.
- Is this is a university or a college?
Graduate Overseas represents ONLY Universities of good standing in UK, Australia and New Zealand. We are the direct agents to the listed Universities here in Kerala .
- How much savings do we have to show?
Students planning to go abroad for your further education will have to show that they have sufficient funds to take care of their educational costs as well as living costs in UK for the duration of their stay. For example: if students take bank loan for their entire fees, then they will have to show their living expenses for a year, which amounts to GBP 7000 in England, UK and GBP 6000 in Scotland, UK. This money need to be shown in parents account or your sponsor’s account.
Any relative of yours can sponsor you provided he has sufficient funds to take care of his own family and your living costs in UK.
- How long does VISA procedures take for in UK?
It does not take long. After submission it takes 3-4 days to know whether you have been called for an interview. It is taken according to your convenience and the availability of date in the BDHC(British Deputy High Commission). If your papers are in order, it might be that you will get a VISA without an interview.
- Can we get our whole fees as Bank loan?
Yes. There is no problem in availing a bank loan. Assistance will be given from office in procuring bank loans, if need be.
- After completion of the course is there any stay back options?
Some changes have been introduced that have made it easier for students to stay on in the UK to work. Subject to meeting the relevant criteria, students who have successfully completed a recognised degree course may be able to switch to work permit employment in the UK. An employer can apply for a work permit for such a student without the student having to return home first.

- Whether we can get Scholarship / Funding / bursary?
There are many schemes through which students can apply for scholarship. Many Universities give a bursary on the tuition fees thus reducing the fees by a considerable amount. Funding is also provided for some courses in select Universities. Scholarships are also available provided application has been put in early.
- Will accommodation be arranged for us?
Yes. University accommodation will be arranged for you before your departure from here. It is mandatory that your accommodation details are to be provided to the BDHC. You can either choose to stay in the university campus or can opt to stay out in a private apartment on a single / sharing basis. Options will be given to you and you can make the final choice according to the affordability and want.
- What are your charges of GRADUATE OVERSEAS for the service rendered?
We are the direct agents of the Universities in UK. Hence we are NOT authorized to charge the students any kind of service charge or counseling charge.
- Are you the direct agents for the Universities that are listed?
Yes. We are the direct agents for the universities that are listed.
- Advantages of applying through the direct agent as against non-direct agents?
Advantages would be that your papers will be send over to the University directly from our office to their office. We would know the status of your application all the time. As soon as a decision is made the University will either call and inform us or send an email. Once the application is filled, the student is kept informed about the proceedings.
- What is the step towards going abroad
The first step would be to decide where to apply and then put in the application with the list of documents given.
- When do we start with the application procedure?
There is no set time for applying. As soon as you have identified the course that you want to go for and the university, you can apply. Ideally, students are encouraged to apply atleast two months before the intake date. It is always better to apply early so that your place is ensured.
